Stillwater Open the app

Privacy

Last updated: October 2026

Draft. Please have this reviewed before you publish it or submit an app to a store.

The short version

Stillwater does not ask you to make an account, and it does not show ads. What you write in the app stays on your device.

What stays on your device

Your journal entries, prayer list, highlights and notes, liked verses, confessions, reminders and progress are saved in your browser’s local storage on the device you use. We do not receive them and cannot read them. If you clear your browser data or delete the app, they are removed.

What the app loads from the internet

Anonymous usage counts

The app can send anonymous counts so we know roughly how many people use Stillwater and which parts they open, such as visits, installs to the Home Screen and which screens are visited. We use a privacy-focused analytics service that does not use cookies and does not build a profile of you. These counts never include your journal, prayer requests, notes or any text you type. You can switch them off any time in Profile, and your phone’s Do Not Track setting is respected.

If you submit a plan

If you send a devotional plan through the app, we receive the plan text, the author name and the email address you enter. We use your email only to talk with you about that plan, such as telling you it was approved. A plan that is published appears with the author name you gave. Ask us to remove a submission at any time.
