A quiet place to pray, every day.
Stillwater is a Christian prayer and Bible app. Pray with Scripture, sacred art, hymns and silence, read the Bible with your own highlights and notes, and learn who you are in Christ.
Works on iPhone, Android and computers. No account to make. Your prayers and notes stay on your device.

Read the Bible and keep what speaks to you
The full Bible is in the app, in the Berean Standard Bible and the World English Bible. Press a verse to highlight it, write a note, share it, or carry it into a prayer or your journal.
Every highlight lands in one archive you can search, filter by color, and export.
Some books have a recorded reading you can listen to, with more being added.

Who I am in Christ
Thirty-nine “I am” statements, each tied to the verse it comes from. Read one, say it out loud, and mark it as declared.
I am blessed when I come in, and blessed when I go out.Deuteronomy 28:6

Games that help Scripture stick
Short Bible games for a few quiet minutes: crossword puzzles, acrostics that hide a word in the first letters of a verse, putting a creed or prayer back in order, and matching verses to where they are found.
Each one is built from the verses and core beliefs in the app, and you earn badges as you play.

Hymns, quiet sound and verse artwork
Rest in sixteen instrumental hymns such as Abide With Me and It Is Well, or choose quiet strings or flowing water.
Turn any verse into a picture. Pick a style and a size, then share it to Instagram, Facebook or a message.

Questions
Does it cost anything?
Stillwater is free to use today, with no ads.
Do I need an account?
No. Your journal, prayer list, highlights and progress are saved in your own browser. Sign-in and syncing between devices are planned for later.
Will I lose my notes if I switch phones?
Your data lives on the device where you use the app, so a new phone starts fresh. Clearing your browser’s site data also removes it. Syncing is planned so this stops being a worry.
Which Bible translations are included?
The Berean Standard Bible and the World English Bible. Both are free of copyright restrictions.
Does it work without internet?
Once installed, the app, the Bible text and your notes work offline. Recordings and artwork need a connection.
Can I share my own devotional plan?
Yes. In Plans, choose Share a plan. Write at least five days, add a video or audio edition if you have one, and send it. We review every plan and email you when it is approved.
Who made it?
Stillwater is an independent ministry project. It is not tied to a church or denomination, and the prayer practices draw on the wider Christian tradition.
